CARBIN REEF Old Sagay, Negros Occidental

zabrinathewanderlust

Every drop in the ocean counts…CARBIN REEF Old Sagay, Negros Occidental

Carbin Reef is a huge, tongue-shaped, white sandbar 15km within Sagay City limits and is bounded on the north by Asuncion Pass and the Visayan Sea. It’s the center of the 32,000-hectare Sagay Marine Reserve.

The sanctuary was established in 1999 and abounds with a wide variety of underwater species, such as thriving coral formations, the occasional turtles, and large schools of fish.

Above the water, the reef seems to be a mere strip of sand, but below the surface is a wealth of natural beauty.

Due to the shallow water, diving is discouraged. Swimming and snorkeling conditions, however, are just about right. The reef itself can accommodate up to 100 people at low tide conditions.

*May of 2014- with my childhood friends, cheers to more than 30 years of friendship and counting for more 🙂

MALUMPATI COLD SPRING- PANDAN ANTIQUE

The water from the Malumpati Cold Spring feeds the Bugang River, considered as the Cleanest In-land Body of Water in the Philippines. If you happen to visit Antique, don’t leave without visiting Malumpati Cold Spring.  It’s a natural treasure that should be kept in its unspoiled state.

ISLA de GIGANTES

It was a dream come true travelling to Gigantes Island because since 2001 i  really wanted to see the beautiful paradise.
I was with my teamates and supervisors when we went to ISLA de GIGANTES.  To make the story short, i convinced my teamates and supervisors to have our team building in ISLA DE GIGANTES! hehehe
Since i know someone who always go to Gigantes, a friend gave me the number of the owner of Gigantes Inn.  And that was fantastic! He gave me the number of JOEL DECANO, their family owns 2 islands and some islets in Gigantes and he was the tourism officer of Municipality of Carles.  I contacted him thru text and he replied to let him know what is the exact date of the visit because they need to check the availability of the rooms.  He also provided the van who will fetch us up in Dumangas Port since we are in Bacolod, and he will personally meet up in the Estancia Port to introduce the Tour Guide and give the itinerary.
JOEL DECANO/ GIGANTES INN – 09184685006
I dont have the number of the Van’s Driver ( I changed my phone and i lost the number )
